SUMMER MONTHS OFFER A JUMP-START ON NEXT SCHOOL YEAR!

SUMMER MONTHS OFFER A JUMP-START ON NEXT SCHOOL YEAR!

Tutor Doctor Longmont (www.tutordoctorlongmont.com) suggests that students take advantage of the summer months to get a jumpstart on next year’s work through personal, one-on-one in-home tutoring.  Who might benefit from such tutoring?  Not just students who are struggling in school!
High School Students
Summer is a great time to get a head start on next year’s math concepts.  Students taking advanced math classes such as Geometry, Algebra 2 and Calculus or pre-Calc can be overwhelmed by new concepts in the beginning of the year.  Many students become baffled in the fall by Geometry proofs or differential equations. Don’t wait until it is too late. Use the summer to introduce new complex math topics and make a smooth transition.
SAT and ACT tests are coming up in the fall. Take advantage of the summer months to prepare, before students are overwhelmed by classwork. Tutor Doctor offers an excellent test prep program that is affordable, highly effective and tailored to the individual needs each student.

Summer Catch Up:   Many high school students take summer school courses to get classes knocked off or completed with a better grade. Completing a full year of curriculum in a short period of time can be a real challenge.  A personalized tutor can help explain concepts, prepare for tests and improve those study skills!

Elementary and Middle School Students
Students can avoid summer learning loss with some simple engagement techniques over the summer weeks. Studies show that a student can lose 4-10 weeks of learning during the summer months depending on the topic. Tutoring as little as an hour or two a week can dramatically decrease loss and keep the child engaged in education.

Good students can become great over the summer! Students that excel in their studies need additional challenge and creativity. Summer enrichment tutoring helps these students go beyond the standard curriculum and reach their full potential.

Students that are working below grade level need to catch up over the summer.  Private tutoring helps fill in missing building blocks from last year.  Many students have some gaps in understanding;   compound that with summer learning loss and the next school year becomes very difficult.

Students that are on an IEP program or 504 can always benefit from one-on-one attention. Use the summer months to continue working toward the goals established during the school year.
